Railway Junior Boys hockey successfully ran some indoor hockey sessions for the u12 boys age group as part of their technical skill development programme.
Ex-Irish indoor players and Irish indoor coach Kenny Carroll and Czech indoor player Jan Trejbal delivered the coaching to the lads most of whom had never player indoor hockey.#
This year every Friday Kenny C has been taking the boys u14 and u16 boys squads for indoor coaching and it is noticeable the improvement in basic skills as a result from all those able to participate.
It was a great success and as the weather turned outside the lads were having great enjoyment indoors
Corinthians Boys u12s were invited too and they enjoyed the coaching and matches to finish over the two hour period. Given the great enjoyment both clubs will repeat it again with Railway planning on doing this over the next number of weeks and into January hopefully look to expand out and include some other clubs in a boys u12 invitational indoor tournament that will complement the tournaments organised each year by Portrane (u14 boys and girls) and Boyne HC (u16s and u18s girls and boys) at Gormanstown.

A big thank you to Gordie, Macker and the CHC u12 boys & parents and Kenny and Jan for their time and great to see some of the youngest players in Leinster starting to learn the different and complimentary skills from the fast paced game of indoor hockey.
